Signs Your Mouth Has Denture Sores

Posted on 4/20/2018 by Sergio Ortegon
Denture Sores Ortegon Prosthodontics TX 77401Denture sores are common when the dentures are rubbing in the many places of the mouth and over the gums. Many people that use dentures, especially for an extended period of time, may experience denture sores from time to time.

If you're wondering whether or not you're experiencing denture sores, then consider some of these signs and symptoms.

If you do find that you may have denture sores, it is important to speak with a dental professional about healing the areas and finding a better fitting pair of dentures for your mouth.

Signs of Denture Sores

Most of the time denture sores are painless, so the patient is unable to realize that they have them until they take a look at their gums.

This is a good thing since wearing dentures can become bothersome, especially when they are not properly fitted to the mouth.

Signs to be aware of are areas on the gums that are bleeding, swollen gums and red inflamed areas on the mouth. These are all signs of denture sores. They usually come about after wearing dentures for an extended period of time and not having the proper cleaning technique.

You want to make sure that you are removing the dentures after so long to keep the mouth healthier and in better condition.

The dental professional that provides the dentures will give you more information on how to care for them, your teeth and your overall oral health.

Call us today if you have any other questions, concerns or comments regarding your dentures or oral health. We are more than happy to help you with anything you may need help with.

We know that sometimes the dentures you wear can become a nuisance which is why we are here to help in any way possible.
